I have a rule that I only go to Wal-mart very early in the mornings.
If you go late at night there are always creepers. If you go during the day…well…you know, but early in the morning? Nobody, but me and the shelf stockers.
However like any good rule there are exceptions because of course life happens and Wal-mart happens. (Don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about!)
I have a Wal-Mart secrets though. Just little tidbits to get me through my prime time trips to the store.
First I pray a lot. That’s not an exaggeration, I pray for everybody I see, specially the rude ones.
Second, this is a big secret so come in close I have to whisper…Aisle 21.
Yup, that’s my big secret. Not it may not seem like much, but it my experience it is the lost aisle. While people are crowded and jostling at the “express” lanes and playing bumper carts on the grocery side, there is the lonely checkout stand in the middle of the store that everyone forgets about.
I have never had to wait for more that two people with more than three thing. I have also discovered that this is where the nice people hang out. The people that let you in front of them if you only have one thing. Or quickly scoot up to make room if they can tell that your carrying something heavy.
It’s a little haven in a mad crazy world. Yet more proof that prayer works and Jesus is good.
Just thought I’d give you a little help with Christmas being only a week away and the rush hitting a fever pitch. But shhhhhhhhhh let’s keep this between us!
